Amit Ravindernath Sharma is co-writer and director of the 2024 Indian Hindi-language biographical sports drama film Maidaan, which is also produced by Zee Studios, Akash Chawla, Arunava Joy Sengupta, and Boney Kapoor. Sports action from ReelSports and Rob Miller. In the film, Ajay Devgn portrays Syed Abdul Rahim, an innovative football coach in India from 1952 to 1962.

plot 

The film, which takes place between 1952 and 1962, tells the story of Syed Abdul Rahim, the renowned football coach who transformed the game in India. The Indian football team, who played in a 4-2-4 system, was dubbed the "Brazil of Asia" because of his enormous contribution to the game. Rahim became a legendary character in Indian sports history thanks to his tenacity, vision, and leadership. It depicts Rahim's struggles, sacrifices, and moments of victory as well as the Indian football team's quest to transcend cultural barriers and make a name for themselves on the international front. This helped India win two gold medals at the Asian Games in 1951 and 1962, and the Indian football team qualified as Asia's first football squad ever.for the 1956 Summer Olympics Semifinals.

Music 

Manoj Muntashir wrote the lyrics for the movie, while A. R. Rahman composed the music. On March 18, 2024, the first single, "Mirza," was made available.[11] March 27, 2024, saw the release of the second single, "Team India Hain Hum".

Exhibit theatrical

 The movie opened in paid previews on April 10, 2024, and on April 11, which was Eid, it was released countrywide in both conventional and IMAX formats.

Star Gold has bought the satellite rights to the movie, while Amazon Prime Video has secured the digital rights.
